The World Health Organization (WHO) tells us more than 350 million people experience severe depression around the world. That is roughly 1 in every 20 people. In the United States 1 in 14 people deal with depression. Understand that these numbers come from reported cases, so the incidence rate for depression is probably much higher. When people are depressed and stressed out, this emotional state is often unreported.
Depression is the top cause of disability globally, and can lead to antisocial behavior which makes depression worse. People often speak to their friends and loved ones about being depressed and anxious before they commit suicide. Stress is often a factor in depression. The American Psychology Association reports that a staggering 3 in 4 adults around the world experience medium to extreme levels of stress in any 30-day period.
Psychologists report that stress is possibly the number one health concern for teenagers in the United States. Studies show that when high school aged teens do not learn to deal with stress properly, this lead to long term health problems. The United Kingdom reports that nearly 500 thousand employees polled in a 2008 study showed their work-related stress was so high it made them physically ill.

Email #1 – Feeling Happier with Your Life
Welcome to the first lesson on how to feel happier with your life. In this ecourse, we are going to cover different actions you can take right now to feel happier. You probably already know exercising, eating healthy and getting enough quality sleep go along way to making you happier, but are you doing these three things?
Good mental health – one of the keys to happiness – starts in part with good physical health. By taking care of your body, you will get in better shape, which in turn will improve your self-confidence and how you view yourself. Feeling good about yourself will always improve your mental mood!
You don’t have to run a marathon to reap the benefits from exercising. Even something as simple as a 20-minute walk during your lunch hour will not only help you manage you weight, but will improve your mood by the release of endorphins in your brain. Plus, the exercise will help you take off a few pounds and improve muscle tone which will make you look even better. If you look good, you will feel good. It is a proven fact!
Focus on eating healthy nutritional food in the right portions … like a colorful small plate of fresh fruits and vegetables. Add in some whole grain and lean protein, while avoiding sweets and processed foods, and you will be well on your way to looking good, feeling good and bursting with energy. Be sure to pack a healthy lunch that you can eat after your mid-day 20-minute walk.
Most adults need at least 8 hours of sleep; some an hour or so less; others a little more. But if you are not getting enough sleep, or the quality of sleep is not where it should be, it can affect your mood the next day which in turn effects your happiness level. Make sure your sleeping environment is around 68 degrees F, dark, you have a comfortable mattresses and bedding, and that your room is quiet. If there is noise outside that keeps you awake, use a white noise machine or softy play some soothing music to drown out the outside noise.
In the next few emails, we are going to look at other things you can do in your daily life that aid in your happiness endeavor. But this is it for this time. See you later!

5 Tips for Motivating Yourself
It can be very difficult to motivate yourself, especially if you have no clear plan but you know that you want to achieve more. If you want to give yourself a bit of a kick and get going, here are some of the things that may help you to feel like you can take on the world.
- Come up with some goals
This is one of the best things for getting yourself going and helping you to feel like you have certain things to achieve. You should set yourself SMART goals – these are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-bound. These are goals that are easy to look back on and think about whether or not you have achieved them. You should also make goals which are easy to look at throughout the time period and measure how close or how far you are to achieving them.
- Do something
You have to be a certain type of person to just go for it and start doing something, but if you have the confidence and you believe in yourself enough, start something you want to do even if you don’t feel like you have the motivation just yet. Some people believe that motivation comes from just doing things and then letting the energy catch up with you.
- Think about the people around you
Are you spending time with people who are motivated or is your time spent with those who would rather do nothing? The people you hang around with can have a huge influence on your life, and if you are talking to them about your plans and goals but they don’t seem to be very supportive of you, if could be time to cut some ties or at least become less involved with certain people.
- Find things that give you energy
Does nature inspire you and motivate you to do more or to become a better person? Are you motivated by certain music or playlists? Does a particular author make you think about your life and wish you could be somebody more positive or successful? Find the things that motivate you and focus your attention on these.
- Stay tidy and organised
Whether it’s your space at work, your bedroom or your kitchen area, staying organised can help you to feel more motivated to do things and achieve more. It might be time for a spring clean if you’re feeling a little down!

Subject: Six ways to add laughter to your life
There are many things in life that we must be serious about. Although it is good to stay focused on the important things, we should also make time to simply have a good laugh. Laughing burns calories, bonds you to your loved ones, and relieves stress. What more could you want in an activity that is so fun and refreshing? Here are six ideas on ways to add laughter to your everyday life.
- Go to Karaoke Night
Whether or not you can sing, attend a karaoke night at a local pub. If you can sing, it will be fun and you will surely get a few moments of laughter. If you are a terrible singer, even better. Openly mock yourself. Quietly find humor in the others whose voices are not their strong point either. There are always a few.
- Watch a Funny Movie
Sometimes all it takes to de-stress is to watch someone else being funny. Put on a good comedy. Choose one with your favorite silly actors, and enjoy. You can also find funny short movies on YouTube.
- Make a Prank Call
This is only applicable to a close friend, of course, but if you want to have a really good laugh… make a prank call. If you have been blessed with the ability to disguise your voice, call your friend up and act as though you are an obnoxious salesman. As immature as this sounds, you and your friend will both probably get a laugh out of the ordeal that you will never forget.
- Play a Practical Joke
Another one to use on a good friend who shares your sense of humor… playing a practical joke tops the list of easy laughs. Whether you choose to set several hidden alarm clocks in their room, or switch the salt and sugar temporarily, give them a reason to remember you. Other ideas include dropping a fake spider over their shoulder, changing their cell phone setting to a foreign language, or placing bubble wrap in between their toilet bowl and the toilet seat when you visit their home.
- Ask Your Children to Make Some Jokes
If you have little ones, or friends with little ones, ask them to be the comedian for the evening. Sometimes children say the funniest things. Even when their jokes fall flat, there is something humorous about a little one trying to get a laugh out of the adults.
- Find Humor When There Seems to Be None
One of the most important things to do is to search for the humorous moments. When you lock yourself out of your car, remember what a funny story it will be in the future, and start to point out the funny details to yourself and your family. When things seem to be going wrong, think of an interesting and hilarious way to tell your story to someone at a later time. This can change a stressful moment into a great one in an instant.
There are many ways to add laughter to your life. Use these ideas as a springboard to your own list of raucous laugh-inducers. You will feel your stress melt away as the laughs increase on a daily basis.
Most of us have fallen for the green-eyed monster at some time in our lives. We will talk about how to deal with jealousy next time.

Enjoying the Simple Pleasures in Life
Sometimes we make dramatic plans that are expected to bring happiness into our lives, whether it be a vacation, graduation or wedding. But the simple pleasures in life are what we can count on to give us continuous joy. When we appreciate and enjoy the simple things, the gratitude we feel will extend to other areas as well. Here are some of the simple pleasures that are worth making an effort to experience often.
Freshly Cut Grass
Freshly cut grass is enjoyable in every way. The smell and feel of it under your bare feet are fresh, and invigorate the senses. Try to experience this at least a few times each year, as the weather allows it.
Giving and Receiving Smiles
What a better way to experience a simple pleasure for free? Give smiles not only to your friends, but also to random strangers you pass on the street. You will be amazed at how good it feels to see first the surprise of others, and then their own smile in return.
The Endorphin Rush after Working Out
When you work out in a strenuous manner, you will get an endorphin rush as a reward. These natural, feel-good chemicals are sure to brighten your day. Work out in the morning in order to use this endorphin rush to help you be especially productive throughout the rest of your day.
Enjoying Your Favorite Food
Even if your favorite food is not especially healthy, allow yourself to have it every now and then. The feeling of your much-loved food will bring you a little boost of pleasure. Studies have shown that if you refrain from a particular food for a certain time, it will be even more enjoyable the next time you try it, so use this trick to make your favorite meal taste even better than usual.
Hot Cup of Coffee or Tea
Some of us survive on our daily coffee or tea. Even when it is a daily habit, it can bring much joy. As you sip on your beverage of choice, take some quiet time to enjoy every bit.
Making Snow Angels
This is not only for kids. Put on some warm clothes and simply fall into the snow. Feeling silly about this will not ruin the experience, just embrace the feeling of innocent fun that making snow angels can bring.
Laughing until It Hurts
Laughter is like medicine. Everyone should have an opportunity to laugh until it hurts at least once a day. Whether it is with a friend who could write comedy, or watching a good movie, take some time to laugh away your stress.
Getting a Massage
If you have never had a massage, give it a try. This hour of total relaxation will make your troubles feel as though they are melting away. Many individuals are even entitled to massages through employee benefits.
Walking in the Rain
Walking in the rain is one of life’s amazing simple pleasures. Dress warm, and go outside with or without an umbrella. Let the rain splash over your face as you stroll along, and be sure to jump in at least one puddle for old time’s sake.
Expensive fun is great, but can be hard to come by. Instead of waiting for your next vacation, indulge in one of these simple pleasures. By learning to appreciate the little things right next to you, you will find great fulfillment each and every day.

Peace and Solitude In Your Life PLR Report Sample Content:
Ways of Adding Peace and Solitude to Your Daily Life
In the midst of a busy, hustle-bustle day, you may yearn for some peace and quiet. The phone is ringing off the hook. People are knocking on your door. Partner, children, and boss are all clamoring for your attention. If one more person asks you to do something for them, you just know you’re going to snap. It’s on days like this you simply want to get away from it all.
The odd thing is, however, that even though there’s so much going on in everyone’s lives, they rarely take the time to get away from the noise, the unending activity, or demands on their attention. It’s no wonder people are feeling stressed and burned out. They don’t take the time to sit in silence.
This report will outline some ways of adding peace and solitude to your daily life when it seems like all you want to do is yell, “Stop the world, I’m getting off!”
Many people aren’t even aware of how to be quiet any longer. They don’t know how to spend time in their own presence without music or the television playing in the background. Some of them rarely get outdoors to enjoy the beauty of the world around them. They simply keep their nose to the grind stone and watch the world pass them by.
Understanding Why Times of Peace and Solitude Are Important
Why would anyone want to take time out of their busy schedule to get by themselves? What could they hope to accomplish? How could time spent in peace and solitude affect their lives? The answers may surprise you.
Allowing yourself some time each day to reflect on the days that have passed will give you a new perspective on things. Pay attention to how much of your time you work and how much time is devoted to having a healthy relationship with those around you. You may find you’re spending too much time in one of those endeavors and not enough in the other.
Since you’ve taken some time to reflect, you’re now able to see the balance you seek may not be there. If you know there’s no balance, you can choose to make changes in your life or leave things as they are. Which relationships are nurturing and which ones are dragging you down?
What about your career or what you do to earn a living? Have you set goals for where you’d like your career to go? Are you working toward those goals or have you become stagnated by the status quo and are simply trying to get by? How you answer any of these questions can greatly affect your life, what you do with it, and any changes you may choose to make.
Spending time in solitude and peace can also help you learn to be independent. It gives you emotional maturity you may not be able to attain if you’re constantly glued to a television, your ear permanently attached to your cell phone, or your nose stuck to your computer. Technology can be a great asset, but it can also be a hindrance to personal growth.

Report: Simplifying All Aspects of Your Life Sample Content:
There is no doubt that for many people, life is simply too overwhelming. Everyone is given the same 24 hours in a day, but everything you do takes time.
To fit it all in, it’s imperative to prioritize, organize, and delegate. We live in a hectic and complex world. It’s natural to want to get a lot done and to be able to point to your accomplishments. However, if you don’t slow down and set some goals for your life, personally and work wise, things won’t go as planned and will feel a lot more complicated.
Getting Your Priorities Right
When you want to simplify your life, the first thing that must happen is to set your priorities. This works for both your personal life and your work life. Whether it’s a large project or a small one doesn’t matter. Knowing how to choose where to start, how to organize it, and what’s most important is essential to your success.
List Every Task You Need to Do
When you have things to do, it’s essential to know what you are doing at any given time in the day. Listing out all the tasks you need to do on any given day is an excellent way to figure out how to organize each task and get it done the right way. Think of this just like Marie Kondo’s method of organizing your bedroom. You need to be able to see everything you have before you can organize it and classify it.
Put Each Task in the Right Category
Try to put each task into a category that lets you know what it’s for: personal or work. Then also identify whether this task is important, urgent, or something else. This is going to help you identify tasks that you can let someone else do, as well as identify tasks that you’re doing that you can simply let go.
Move Urgent Tasks to the Top
When you notice that some of the tasks are urgent, put them up at the top. For some people, it helps to separate work from personal, but others prefer to just list tasks in the order by which they’ll take care of them. You can make two lists, or you can put it all in one if you have correctly identified whether it’s urgent or not.
Determine the Value of the Task
One of the things you must look at for each task is its value. This is easier to identify if it’s a work thing. You know that putting an item that people can buy up for sale is going to make you money, so it has a high value. But you also know that taking your child to piano lessons is a high value task.
Know the Effort the Task Will Take
This is another important thing to note when you are organizing your tasks. It also helps to look at effort versus value to help classify a task. How long does something really take you to do?
