Welcome to course on how to set up a sales funnel using Facebook Ads. In this email series, we are going to look at a sales funnel that uses Facebook ads to sell products and services, and build your email list. But first you have to build a list. Once you have a list built, then you can target that list with other offers.
The first step in building a funnel is to set up a product or service page and then start building an audience in one of two commonly used ways:
- Using the “like” feature of Facebook where the person must like your page before they can read the rest of your post or,
- Running a contest or giveaway the encourages people to like your page to be entered into the contest.
The “like” feature of Facebook is the perfect platform to build an audience and build awareness of your company. You will be able to see what kind of potential customers start to emerge based on likes and therefore you will be able to target your Facebook campaign around that basic customer profile.
The second part in building an audience is engaging them. In this phase, you are deepening your relationship by nurturing them with high value, non-selling content. For them to stay around, the focus must be on them. Cater to their needs, quirks and problems.
This content is intended to do three things:
- increase awareness of your product or service
- have them consider your product or service as a solution to a problem they have
- take the next step and get on your list
The content in this phase must be unique to them, relevant, something they need (even though they might not know they need it yet) and just plain awesome (from their point of view).
This leads to the next phase, which is to start working toward converting visitors into leads, prospects and finally customers. Once a visitor becomes a lead, only then will they start to enter your funnel and you can start sending relative offers to them, have them buy and you make money with your funnel.
