Sample Content for the Declutter Your Home Premium PLR Ebook:

It’s easy to understand how clutter can affect your life. When you have trouble finding things because there is so much “stuff” everywhere, this can make you less productive. They can even cause you to be late attending events, getting the kids off to school, and handling any other obligation.

Physical clutter can also be unsafe.

If your floor is covered with objects that don’t need to be there, and you have to cut a trail through them just to get through your room, you are causing trip and fall hazards. This is especially the case if you have to get up in the middle of the night.

Why Decluttering is Good for Your Health and Wellbeing

Clutter can also lead to mental issues.

Scientists at the Princeton University Neuroscience Institute in New Jersey uncovered some startling data regarding how a disorganized, clutter-filled environment can affect you mentally. They published their findings in the January, 2011 issue of The Journal of Neuroscience. Here is the science-talk takeaway:

“Multiple stimuli present in the visual field at the same time compete for neural representation by mutually suppressing

their evoked activity throughout visual cortex, providing a

neural correlate for the limited processing capacity of the

visual system.”

Say what? In layman’s terms, clutter shuts down the ability of your brain to process even simple information. Your ability to focus is severely restricted. Subconsciously, even though you may be trying to focus on one task or stream of input, your mind is busy trying to process everything that your eyes see on the periphery of your vision.

This can make you feel frustrated and angry at the end of your day. You were working hard all day long, really trying to get a lot accomplished, but your clutter was guaranteeing that you were less productive than you could have been.

Kelli Ellis is an Orange County, California design psychologist. You may have seen her on The Learning Channel’s “Clean Sweep” TV show. The program helps families go from frustrated, cluttered and disorganized to organized, clutter-free and productive. The organization specialist stated that clutter “follows” you into every aspect of your life.

If you lack organization and order at home, your work space will be clutter-filled as well. If you have a cluttered living area, your computer, phone, personal and business relationships, finances and all other areas of your life are probably cluttered and disorganized too. So when you learn to control clutter, you create a more productive environment everywhere you go.

WebMD reports that clutter, if left alone, can negatively impact your health.

It creates a lot of stress. Why is that a problem? Stress elevates your heart rate, and if untreated, can lead to high blood pressure and even an irregular heartbeat called arrhythmia. Stress affects your respiratory system as well. In some people, this incredible strain on your lungs when you are anxious and stressed out can lead to a panic attack.

Stress keeps your digestive system in a constant state of agitation. This skyrockets the possibility that you will develop ulcers, nausea, acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrome and a number of digestion related issues. Your skin, your immune system, your muscles, your body weight and even your reproductive system are affected negatively by stress.

As you can see, even if you believe a cluttered, disorganized, messy environment has no effect on you, it is causing physical and mental damage in a number of ways. Have you struggled with your weight, chronic anxiety and stress, or other physical and mental problems your entire life? Have you tried in vain to alleviate those issues?

It could be that simply decluttering your home is the secret weapon that has been missing from your approach to health and wellness.

Clean up your clutter, and you may just find yourself slimmer and trimmer, calm and focused, happier and healthier.

In this e-book you will discover what clutter is, and what it isn’t. This allows you to quickly tell when clutter is actually clutter, and when your disorganized desk might not be a problem. You will learn a simple system that sets you up for decluttering success. This includes learning how to choose whether you should keep or throw out a particular item.

You will learn specific organizational tips for each room of your home, as well as how to keep your environment clutter-free for the long-term. Remember, clutter can negatively affect so many areas of your life, and you may not even be aware that it is doing so. So let’s get started figuring out if you have a clutter problem in the first place, what to do about it, and how to maintain a clutter-free home so you are healthier mentally and physically.

Giving Every Item a Logical “Home”

As you declutter your home, and after you are done, there are several secrets that will help you to keep it looking spotless long after you have finished your task. One of these secrets is to give every item a logical home. Here is how to use this step to your advantage in your quest for clutter-free living.

Why Items Need a Logical Home

You may have all the items you could ever need or want, but if you don’t know where to find them, there is no point having them at all. Giving each item a home means that you will always know where to return something when you are done with it, and then when you need it again you will be able to find it easily and immediately.

Giving each item a logical home means that you don’t just choose a random spot for it to be stored, but rather store it in a place that makes sense. This way, if you forget where your item is, you can think about where it should be and find it without wasting too much time.

Starting Off with a Clean Slate

The best time to give multiple objects a home is when you have just done massive decluttering. Now that your home is purged and ready to be organized, find storage places for all your items that make sense to you personally. There’s no point in trying to organize anything at all when you have too many things around that need to be given away or discarded.

Giving Each Item a Room

Observe the items that you have chosen to keep. Decide what room you are generally in when they are in use. Things such as scissors, paper and pens will likely go in your office – or if you don’t have a designated office, your living room.

Things pertaining to sleep or clothing will likely be stored in the bedrooms of those whom they belong to. Kitchen items always belong in the kitchen. Continue on in this way until all your items are sorted into rooms.

Giving Each Item a Particular Spot in the Room

Now that you have a room for each item, choose a particular place for it. Your bedroom might have a closet and shelves for clothing, a section in your closet for jewellery, and one drawer chosen for odds and ends. Try to keep similar items like shoes all in the same place so that when you are in a hurry to leave home, you don’t have to look through the entire house to find the pair you need.

As you take these steps, remember that wherever you choose should be fairly obvious and make sense to you and anyone else who lives there. For example, store your piano books in a small book rack beside the piano, rather than on the other side of the room. This seems fairly obvious, but it deserves repeating because this organization rule is broken so often.

If you are not a natural organizer, it can be a challenge to become one. With a little time and practice, however, you will get there. By using these simple steps, your organizational ability will grow in leaps and bounds.

10-Day Decluttering PLR ECourse

10-Day Decluttering PLR ECourse Sample:

One of the best ways to simplify your life is to declutter. There are numerous ways to go about doing this. One of the most popular ways right now is The KonMari Method™ created by Marie Kondo, from the popular show on Netflix called “Tidying Up with Marie Kondo” and inspired by her bestselling book, “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up.”
Link – https://amzn.to/2M8V4uc

The KonMari Method™ uses the idea of categories to get organized instead of just going room by room. You’ll organize by category starting with your clothing, and then you’ll work on books, papers, miscellaneous items, and then lastly sentimental items. The idea is to touch each thing, keeping only what continues to “spark joy.” If the items don’t still spark joy, you are supposed to thank them for their service and let them go, either to a new home or the trash.

This is an excellent method for decluttering because it relies on categories instead of where things are kept. The reason it works is that in each room, you often have many categories of items that are hard to find or contain. If you create a home for each thing and only keep the things that are useful and joyous to own, you’ll need less storage and everything will be easier to find.

Plus, by starting with clothing first, you’re tackling one of the things that often cause bottlenecks in the morning when getting dressed and out the door. By ending with sentimental items, you will allow your mind to adjust to letting go before you even get to those items.

The short story on this method is:

1. Declutter First – Take everything out so you can look at it, touch it, and remember it. Toss the trash, box up the giveaway, and put away the stuff you’re keeping.

2. Understand Your Space – It can help to take a picture before you start decluttering, and then one when it’s empty so that you can understand the space and find a good home for each thing.

3. Start with Your Clothing – Most people have too many clothes, so it’s a good place to begin letting go, finding a home for things, and practicing feeling joy and gratitude.

4. Touch, Remember, Feel Joy and Gratitude – When you are decluttering, touch each item, remember what you do with it, and feel joy and gratitude for each thing. If you’re keeping it, it’s due to joy; if you’re giving it away, it’s because you’ve got all the use out of it you can.

5. Find a Home for Everything You Keep – When you put things away, since the things you keep are special and bring joy, store them in a way that makes them seem special. Everything in a home has a place.

6. Learn to Fold Marie’s Way – This is a good folding method to learn because you can store more clothing in smaller areas without messing them up when you look for them. Here is a good YouTube video to help:

7. Work on Sentimental Items Last – Go through all the categories of items and only touch the sentimental items at the end. It can take months of going through the method before you get to this, but when you are ready, it won’t be as hard.

8. Take Your Time – You don’t have to do this in one weekend if you don’t want to. You can take your time and work on each category through time. The great thing is that your kids will learn this method by watching you and do it too.

If you want to try the KonMari Method™ yourself, it’s highly advisable to get her book. The TV show is good too, but it doesn’t really explain the method as well as the book does, and you’re likely to skip steps if you don’t go through the book. You can get it on Kindle so that you don’t have another item to make a decision about – especially since with this method, she wants you to try to keep only 30 books.

In our next email, we’re going to look at another method of decluttering.

Quality Clutter Free PLR Article Smaple:

A Clutter-Free Closet – Tips for Changing Seasons

As the seasons change and you have to pull out your sweaters, heavier pants and coats, now is the perfect time to release some clothes you no longer want or need. Follow these tips for a clutter-free closet.

Before you dig out the winter clothes, think about what you want to keep from last season’s clothing. Be sure you have enough time to complete the task of cleaning and clearing out your closet before you get started. There is nothing more frustrating than starting a big project like this, having your clothes all over your bed and then having to stop for some reason. Not only do you have to put your clothes back into your closet quickly so you can sleep that night, but you also lose the momentum and desire to work on the task at all.

Get a couple of empty boxes. Mark each of the boxes with one of these “S” words – Swap, Sell, Store and Scrap.

* Swap – Items in the Swap box are those you will give or swap with a friend who wears your size. You can also donate them to Salvation Army or Goodwill. These are clothes you do not wear any longer but are usable.

* Sell – Items in this box are those you will sell at a consignment store or online. These clothes are still in good repair but no longer fit.

* Store – Items in this box are those you will store for next year’s use or something that has sentimental value to it.

* Scrap – Items in this box are stained or torn and therefore no longer usable.

All of your clothes (cleaned and pressed) and accessories for this season should go into one of these boxes. Of course, depending upon the number of clothes you have, you may need more than one “store” box. Be sure to set the “store” boxes aside out of the way. Leave the remaining boxes open so you can place other items in them as you take out the clothes for this season.

Now that you have cleaned out your closet, it is time to start putting this season’s clothes and accessories into the closet. Pick out the things you know you will use most often and place them in a prominent place in your closet. Consider whether you want to keep the rest of the clothes that are not your favorites. Get rid of clothes you no longer like or you know will not fit any longer. Take the remaining boxes out to the car so they are not cluttering your room.

You may want to use this trick to help you learn which clothes you can purge once the season starts. As you place items into your closet, turn the hangers around backwards. At the end of the month, look through your closet and see how many hangers face the wrong way. Take those items out and re-evaluate whether you want to keep them or if they can find a new home with someone else.

Choose how you organize your closet. Some like to place clothes in the closet by colors, others by length and still others by whether you wear them together. You will know the best way to organize them based on your own personal needs. When you are done, you can step back with satisfaction and breathe a sigh of relief that you now have a clutter-free closet.
