Sample Content for the Comparisonitis Premium PLR Ebook:

Comparing yourself to others is easy to do. It seems that human beings are somehow hardwired to look at their own lives and then look at the lives of others, and start comparing and contrasting the two. That doesn’t mean this is a healthy process.

Do you ever catch yourself making one or more of the following statements?

“I wish I had her hair. She always looks fabulous.”

“My car is a real clunker. When I drive down the street, all of the other automobiles are nicer than mine.”

“I wish I had a big, expensive house like he/she does.”

“He is always smiling and happy. I wish I had his life.”

“If only I could be like that person.”

We do it all the time, don’t we? We compare ourselves to others. It seems to be some type of built-in self-punishment tool that we whip ourselves with over and over. In a way, this is a part of the survival instinct every human being is born with.

Back when your cave-dwelling ancestors were ecstatic if they had anything to eat every couple of days, food was very important. Imagine that there were a couple of friendly Paleolithic tribes located right next to each other. One of the tribes had excellent hunters. It seemed they were always eating brontosaurus burgers and saber-toothed tiger ribs, while the second tribe was lucky to eat at all. If this situation continued for any serious amount of time, the first tribe would thrive, reproduce and grow, while the second tribe would probably fade into oblivion.

So it would have made sense for the hungry tribe to compare itself to its neighbors. When the hungry cavemen saw that the other tribe was so good at hunting, that might make the tribesmen in the starving group work harder at their hunting skills. They may go next door to their well-eating neighbors and ask for some tips about hunting. There survival instinct told them that if they did not get better at hunting, they would not be around very long. So they compared their poor abilities to the considerable hunting talents of their next-door neighbors, in order to get better at this life-saving skill.

Today we don’t need to do this.

Comparing ourselves to others doesn’t present a live-or-die set of results, in most cases. Despite some scary statistics you will see in a moment, most people have a roof over their heads, food to eat, water to drink and the ability to regulate the temperature in their homes. Because of this, humans have started comparing themselves to others in ways that really don’t matter

Why Comparing Yourself to Others Is Useless

Hi,

You are yourself, and nobody else.

You are you. Other people are themselves. You are not like anyone else, and nobody on the face of the earth is like you.

So why in the world would it make sense to compare yourself to anyone else?

It is okay to use other people for motivation. You hear a story about someone who has conquered some serious hurdles or difficulties similar to those you are encountering. If that individual has beat all odds to enjoy some wonderful achievement, it is a positive thing to draw strength from that lesson.

However, you should not compare yourself to that other person, or anyone else. Your mental, physical, emotional, spiritual and environmental situation and factors are unlike those of anyone else. So if you look at someone else and find yourself lacking in some way, you are making an unfair comparison.

This can lead to self-hate, low self-esteem and self-resentment.

On the other hand, comparing yourself to others can cause you to underachieve. You may look at what you have achieved and what someone else has done, and found yourself to be better in some regard. This doesn’t really mean anything. Perhaps you have a much better skill set and group of abilities than that individual. Comparing yourself to someone who isn’t as gifted as you can make you complacent, and you will never push yourself to your fullest potential.

Stop comparing yourself to others. Nobody wins, and you only hurt your performance and self-respect when you do so.

To your success,

YOUR NAME

5 Reasons Why Being Kind to Others Boosts Your Own Happiness

Do you think that being nice to people is good only for them? Well, you are wrong! If you’ve ever done something for someone who had no means to pay you back for your kindness, you’re actually reinforcing the belief that you have been blessed with so much in life and therefore have an abundance of joy to giveaway. This in turn helps you feel better about yourself and happy about where you are in life.

Here are five reasons being kind to others makes you happy.

You Feel Appreciated

Research has shown that children who have been raised by appreciative parents are more likely to grow into confident adults who achieve their dreams. And what happens when you achieve your dreams? That’s right, you feel good about yourself! Similarly, when you extend kindness, you will be appreciated. And whenever you receive positive feedback from someone, you grow a little more confident in who you are as a whole.

Being Kind to Others Boosts Sociability

Human beings are social creatures, and when you’re kind to others they tend to allow you access into their inner circles. This in turn helps you form healthy relationships with other people. Therefore, you’ll feel happy when you have many friends around because there is now a sense of belonging and companionship.

Kindness Brings Sense into Your Life

A mere feeling that you have changed someone’s life through random acts of kindness will boost your happiness. According to logotherapy, which was developed by Victor Frankl as an approach to psychotherapy, the desire to make meaning out of life is what keeps people moving. Being kind, therefore, will not only make you happy but will also help you attain a more fulfilled life.

You Feel Valued

When you are kind, especially to a person who did not deserve such kindness, you become your own superhero. While an ungrateful person might not appreciate your kindness, you can confidently walk away knowing you were able to rise above the negativity and you remain true to your core beliefs. This ultimately leads to happiness, which stems from within and is never a result of what others think about you. It stems from you valuing yourself.

You Feel Secure

Being kind to people boosts a positive relationship with them. There is happiness to be found when you feel secured in the knowledge that others can always rely on you. Every time you practice kindness, you are reinforcing the belief that you, too, can rely on yourself even in times of despair.

Subject: Increase your self-belief with positive affirmations

Dear [Name],

Positive affirmations to increase your self-belief can help in ways that you may not realize at first. It might seem silly to you right now to repeat things to yourself that you don’t believe at all. But, studies have proved that positive affirmations do help people feel better and more positive, and makes them believe in themselves more.

Take these ideas, print them out, and cut them into strips. One affirmation on each strip. Then every time you feel bad about yourself, take them out. Or, if you don’t have a printer, cut the paper into eight strips then write down one thing on each strip of paper.

Eight Positive Affirmations to Increase Your Self-Belief

1. Name One Thing You Succeed At – So for example, if you got out of bed today, that might be an achievement for you. If you graduated school, or got a good job, or are a good mom, write that down. If you feel good about it and it feels like an achievement, write it down.

2. Tell Yourself You’re a Good Person – Whatever that means to you, being a good person is important. It’s important to tell yourself that you’re a good person every single day. Write down “I am a good person” on one slip of paper.

3. What Do You Want to Be Good At? – There is probably something you really want to do well, maybe more than one. You can always write down more than one. For example, if you want to lose weight and get healthy, write down, “I am healthy and eat right.”

4. Want to Be More Focused? – Write down the words, “I am focused on the important things in my life.” Put that slip of paper in there and as you do, say this to yourself now. It’s super-important to know that you can and do focus more on what’s important than what’s not.

5. Do You Dislike Your Looks? – Even if you dislike your looks, there is likely one thing you do like about them. Write that down. “I look smart and professional today” might be more important to you than “I look sexy today” or “I look beautiful today”. Nothing is right or wrong here, but write down something positive about your looks as if it is true (if you want it to be true).

6. How Do Others See You? – Write down something positive about what others observe about you. You may need to ask some friends about that. Ask them to tell you one positive trait that you possess. Write that down on a slip of paper. Perhaps it’s your kindness, or your success, or your parenting skills, or something else. Your friends may surprise you with what they come up with.

7. Self-Belief – Even if you do not currently believe in yourself that much, stating that you do is a good way to ensure that it happens. “I believe in my abilities to ______ completely.” Fill in the blank with something you do believe in, and something you don’t believe yet but desire.

Write down as many positive affirmations as you can. Anything that you know you need to tell yourself is important. Each time you’re feeling down on yourself, take out your jar of affirmations, look in the mirror and read one to yourself. Repeat it while looking right into your own eyes and feel the truth of the statement.

What is imposter syndrome? It’s more common than you think, and it’s linked to a lack of self-belief. We’ll talk about it in the next email.

Believing in Yourself PLR Report

Believing in Yourself PLR Report Sample:

One of the hardest things that some people ever do is transform themselves from a person full of self-doubt to a self-assured person that believes in themselves. But, the truth is that no matter where you are in life right now, no matter how many mistakes you’ve made, opportunities you’ve passed up, or what’s happened to you in life, you can overcome your self-doubt and start believing in yourself. This is true even if you had a poor upbringing and even if you’ve never believed in yourself before. It’s within your power, and it will change your life completely.

So, congratulations on getting this and reading it, soaking it in, and implementing the suggestions. Once you do, within just a short period of time you’ll start feeling better about yourself, feel more confident, successful and know that your future is bright.

Let’s get started learning how you can overcome self-doubt and believe in yourself.

What Is Self-Doubt?

The dictionary defines self-doubt as, “the lack of confidence in oneself and one’s abilities.” This is a very good definition, but it doesn’t fully demonstrate the problems caused by self-doubt and not believing in yourself.

Think about these questions:

  • What are the dangers of self-doubt?
  • How does self-doubt affect your life?
  • Where does self-doubt come from?
  • And most importantly, how do you overcome it?

In the next pages, we’ll give the answers to all these questions and more. If it helps, take notes as you read through when you notice issues that resonate most with your current situation. Everyone has different issues, reasons for their self-doubt, and problems in their life. You’re a unique person and there is no one-size-fits-all answer.

The Dangers of Self-Doubt and How It Affects Your Life

There are many dangers inherent in hanging on to self-doubt that you should be aware of. If you suffer from self-doubt, it’s important to understand the type of damage you’re doing to yourself if you continue to hang on to it. It has affected your past, is affecting your present and can devastate your future if you don’t deal with it. Here’s why.

  • Self-Doubt Damages Motivation – When you don’t think you can do much, and don’t trust yourself to do something right, fear can get in the way of doing anything. This can turn into a severe lack of motivation to do more than you have to just to get by. It can affect your entire life because you may have fewer satisfying relationships, a job you hate, and not enjoy life much.
  • Self-Doubt Causes Procrastination – If you don’t think you know how to do things “right” then you may end up thinking you’re a perfectionist, which is just a way to procrastinate and never finish anything or finish it at the last minute. This is how you set yourself up for failure. No one is perfect and perfection is not necessary to thrive in this life.
  • Self-Doubt Leads to Regret – When you miss opportunities, you will experience regret. Regret, when left unresolved, can lead to chronic stress and anxiety. This will then build upon itself to create even more self-doubt, which will create more regret, and so on.
  • Self-Doubt Causes Defeatism – If you allow self-doubt to continue, you can start to become almost morbid in your belief that you cannot experience anything good or happy. It’s essentially an acceptance of failure.
  • Self-Doubt Stunts Self-Improvement – When you have no faith in yourself, it’s hard to even think about self-improvement. You think you have too much to improve because you can’t do anything, and maybe you even think you’re a victim of your circumstances to a point that you cannot achieve even if you try.
  • Self-Doubt Stifles Inspiration – When you don’t believe in yourself, it’s hard to get inspired to do anything new or to create anything new. Ending the self-doubt will bring out the creativity you already really have.

As you can see and may have experienced yourself, self-doubt can be dangerous and these are all good reasons on their own to work toward overcoming self-doubt and learning to believe in yourself.

Why You are Discouraging Yourself when You Compare Yourself with Others

“A flower does not think of comparing itself to the flower next to it. It just blooms.” – Zen Shin

This is a very profound quote. If you looked at all the animals in the animal kingdom, you’d realize that man is the only animal that compares himself with others.

Wealth, health, attractiveness, etc. are all measures that are used to determine if someone else is better off or worse off from you. Comparing yourself with others is one of the worst habits to have, and it will leave you perpetually dissatisfied.

When you’re trying to lose weight, NEVER compare yourself with someone else. Let’s see why you should not.

* You don’t see the full picture

You may have seen the actors and actresses who get in shape for a movie role in a space of 3 months or so. They look fit and gorgeous.

You, however, have been struggling for 4 weeks and still don’t see any results. You feel like a failure when compared to them. Why? Why are your results so slow to come?

What you don’t see is the full picture and all the other factors involved. The celebrity may have chef-catered meals that fit with their eating plan. They may have a professional trainer who watches them round the clock. They may work out 3 hours a day, while you can only squeeze in 30 minutes.

So many factors and it’s impossible to keep track of them all. You can’t compare because you have incomplete data.

* You don’t know how long they’ve been at it

If you’re at the gym and see another lady looking lean and fit while you’re dragging your plump legs across the treadmill step after step, you may feel pangs of jealousy. How did she get so fit while you’re this fat? Life just doesn’t seem fair.

Then you blame yourself and think that you’re a failure. What you may not know is that the other lady may have been visiting the gym daily for 5 years while you were relaxing at home watching Desperate Housewives.

She struggled, while you had fun. So now she’s having fun and you’re struggling. It’s all fair. Once you go through the struggle and shed the excess pounds, you’ll look great too.

* It takes away focus from yourself

You can’t focus on your own efforts if you’re always looking at others and wondering what they’re doing. Look at your own weight, diet and training and see what you can do to improve them.
Do not get distracted by the noise and other people.

* There will always be people greater or lesser than you

If you compare yourself to others fatter than you, you may feel relieved and better about yourself, but it does nothing to improve your own health. Comparing yourself to those worse off than you only creates false confidence and complacency.

Comparing yourself to others better off than you can make you feel jealous, insecure or you may hate your own self. None of these are positive emotions. Do NOT compare yourself with anyone.

* You can only be the best version of you

All you can do is all you can do… and all you can do is enough. Always strive to improve on your own personal bests and challenge yourself to become the best version of you.
Remember this quote – “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.”

You can’t be anyone else and you shouldn’t even try. You are good enough. Focus on yourself, lose the weight and look great. You can do it.
