Business can go through good and bad periods. Employees and business owners alike are often given, or give themselves, unrealistic deadlines to achieve near impossible goals. Competitive fast-paced businesses can be fun, however business goals must be believable and realistic,
or destructive stress reactions can be the result.

If you have been disillusioned with unrewarding work, it easy to become unmotivated. The results from this lack of motivation is procrastination and avoidance. This can be an early warning sign that you are about to suffer from the stress resulting from unreachable goals and deadlines.

of stress. The old saying, “stop and smell the flowers” is not that far off. Your body needs time to repair itself and taking time to rest and relax can do wonders for you, not only physically but mentally as well. Relaxation reduces stress and counters the tendency we have to overreact to common stressors with additional mental, emotional and physical stress. Sleepless nights and  lack of energy can also be caused by stress and can exaggerate and magnify its effects. Finding ways to relax on a regular basis is very important to help lower your chance of developing serious stress related illness.

To conclude this issue, let’s talk about the importance of self-care.

Helping your body to relax when stress levels get to be too much is the first step in relieving the destructive effects of stress. Taking just a few minutes out of your day to lower your stress is important for your mind, and your body.
